Wild Rummy
This policy explains what information Wild Rummy collects, how it is used, and your choices. Wild Rummy is available as a web app and as a mobile app (iOS and Android) built with Capacitor.
Wild Rummy saves the following to your browser's or device's local storage:
This data stays on your device unless you choose to sign in (see below). You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or the app's storage.
Online games are powered by Cloudflare Workers (cloudflare.com), a real-time server platform. When you join or play in an online game, the following is transmitted to Cloudflare's servers:
This data is used only to run the game session. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to data they process: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
When an online game finishes, we keep a summary record of the match: the room code, the display names and player IDs of everyone who took part (including which seats were played by the computer), how many deals were completed, the final scores, and the winner. We use these records to diagnose problems and understand how online play is used. They are stored in Google Firebase and are not shared with anyone else. Individual card plays and hands are not kept.
Wild Rummy never requires an account. Every feature of the game works signed out, and if you never sign in, nothing in this section applies to you.
If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Your chosen provider gives us a unique account ID and, depending on the provider and your own settings, your email address and name. We use the account ID to link your progress across devices. Signing in with Apple supports Apple's Hide My Email option if you prefer not to share a real address.
Once signed in, the following is stored in Google Firebase under your account so it follows you between devices:

Leaderboards are public. If you are signed in, your display name and your leaderboard totals — deals won, games won, and best score — are visible to anyone else using the app. Display names are filtered for offensive language and are limited to 24 characters. Your email address is never shown on a leaderboard. If you would rather not appear, do not sign in.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time: tap your name on the home screen and choose "Delete account". If you no longer have the app installed, email support@wildrummy.io instead. Full details are on the support page.
Wild Rummy is a free-to-play card game. It does not offer, facilitate, or promote gambling, wagering with real money or anything of monetary value, real-money games of skill, or lotteries of any kind. Players compete only for an in-game score; there is no mechanism to stake, win, or withdraw real money or prizes.
Wild Rummy offers optional in-app purchases (packs of "undos", which let you take back a discard). These are a convenience only. Nothing bought in Wild Rummy can be wagered, won, traded, exchanged, or converted back into money or anything of value, and no purchase affects your odds of winning — the same undo is always available free by watching a short video. Every part of the game is playable without spending anything.
Undo packs are sold through the App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple and Google — Wild Rummy never sees or stores your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to confirm that a purchase completed successfully. When you buy something, RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt from the store, along with a randomly generated purchase ID and basic device and app-version information. It does not receive your name or email address. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to what it processes: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Your remaining undo balance is stored on your device, and in your account if you are signed in, so it follows you between devices. Completed purchases are also recorded in analytics (see below) so we can tell how often the feature is used. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us.
The mobile app displays occasional interstitial ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. On iOS 14+, you will be asked for permission before any advertising identifier is accessed (App Tracking Transparency prompt).
The web version at wildrummy.io loads Google AdSense. Google and third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Wild Rummy uses Google Analytics to understand how the game is played and where players get stuck — Firebase Analytics in the mobile app, and Google Analytics for the web version. We record events such as starting and finishing a game or deal, the actions taken on a turn, tutorial progress, achievements unlocked, whether an ad was shown, and whether an in-app purchase was made (which pack, not any payment detail), along with general information about your device, app version, and approximate location at the country and city level derived from your IP address.
This is used in aggregate to improve the game. If you are signed in, your account ID is attached to these events so that activity across your devices can be counted once rather than several times. We do not sell this data. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
Wild Rummy does not include a crash-reporting service.
Wild Rummy is a card game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the game is not directed at them. Played signed out, the only data handled is a random UUID, an optional display name, and the on-device information described above. Signing in is optional and requires a Google or Apple account, which those providers restrict by age. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in and provided personal information, email support@wildrummy.io and we will delete it.
If the privacy practices of the app change, this page will be updated with a new effective date.
